Reminder of Terminology
Animal Communication: When someone connects to an animal (usually still living), and acts as translator for the animal, bringing through information about the animal and it's life, without knowing the information beforehand. We call this doing a “reading”.
Sitter: The person receiving the reading (the “client”)
Reader: The person doing the reading

Part 2.1 Connecting to your own animal companions
The unique challenges and beauties of connecting with your own animals
3 ways to approach communication with your own animal companions
3 ways to approach communication with your own animal companions
Exercise: Connect to your own animals
Choose one of the first two methods that I outlined in video above, of connecting to your animal companion, and set aside some time to try it out!
If you have multiple animal companions, try the same thing with one of the others, and notice if you have a different experience. Did it feel different to connect to them? Did you notice each of their personalities shine through in the communication?
If nothing happens, don't give up! You might just need a bit more practice with other people's animal companions first to boost your confidence through the feedback, and then you might find it's easier to connect to your own animal companions.
- Is the way that I’ve already shared, where you sit down, get centered and present, place your awareness on the animal, invite the animal into a conversation with you, and then allow the animal to share whatever they want to share or you ask the animal your questions and open up to their responses. If you find that you're getting distracted by your animals, try connecting to them from a different room, using a picture of your animal companion to connect.
- Is by doing what I call a delayed reading, which is where you pose a couple of questions for your animal, and ask them to send you their response at any point in the next day or two. So it’s a delayed response from the animal. With this method, I would encourage you to only ask one or two questions to your animal at a time, so you don’t overwhelm the animal or yourself. Sticking to one or two at a time will help you know what question they’re responding to.

Part 2.2 Your energy, plus two extra techniques
How to approach a reading, and raising your vibration.
Also 2 techniques for gleaning more information in a reading:
Interactive Visualization with the animal
& Merging "bubbles"

Part 2.3 Evidence and deepening your evidence
The kinds of information that typically come up in a conversation
The importance of letting the animal guide the conversation (in particular when connecting to another person's animal companion)
The role and importance of verifiable evidence.

A note on letting the animal guide the conversation, and the class setting:
Practice exercises like this in the course are a bit different from proper sessions you would do with other people's animals. This is because in the course, the main focus is to help you learn. The animals that are part of this course know this, and are here to help you.
In the course practice exercises, I am giving you prompts for you to invite that animal to talk about, so that you can learn to open up to those topics, but of course if they want to share anything else, that is always welcome.
In the case of doing an animal communication session with someone else's animals outside of the course, and especially if you're doing this professionally, the intention is to be the animal's translator, so in those cases, I want to encourage you to structure the session in the way I talk about in the video above.

Guided meditation
This is the same guided meditation from Module 1, available here for your convenience.
If you want, you can do this meditation before doing the exercises below with the animals.

AC exercise: teegan the cat
Teegan is one of my assistant's cats, and she is happy to help you develop and improve your abilities to talk to animals.
Here are some prompts to invite Teegan to share with you:
What is Teegan's personality like?
Where does Teegan like to spend her time?
What is something Teegan does not like to do?
I am adding a photo of her below, so have something to direct your connection to. The picture serves as an anchor for where you can put your awareness. It essentially creates a clear intention for which cat you are connecting to.
When you are done, record your answers in the form below.

In the form below, share anything and everything that came through from Teegan.
I will get back to you in the next few days by email and give you feedback on your connection with her!

AC Exercise: Nutmeg
Here's Nutmeg, a male guinea pig. He lives with me and is happy to help you develop your abilities!
For this exercise, I want you to look through the prompts below and connect. Insert everything that came through in the form below.

How does he feel about the people in the home? How does he feel about the kids?
Anything that can be done to make him happier?
What background did he come from before coming to live here? What was his past like?

Part 2.4 - navigating "No"s
When we get a "no" from the sitter (client),
and how to navigate that when doing a session in real time (receiving feedback as you are connecting to the animal)
and how to navigate that when doing a session in real time (receiving feedback as you are connecting to the animal)
Homework
Take out your calendar and schedule in time to practice animal communication in the next coming weeks! Set aside time to practice with your own animal companions, and set aside a different time to practice with other people's! Reach out to someone around you (a friend or open-minded family member or neighbor) and ask if you can practice with their animals in return for feedback from them.
Join a practice circle to practice with other people's animal companions, with others who are also just learning!
(If you haven't already, consider joining my monthly AC membership for some extra practice with others.)
